In previous sections, we have covered Songs, Choir and Operas. You probably had difficulty in enjoying them since they are all vocal music in Chinese language. Since today, the other sections are going to be mainly instrumental music. Hopefully it will be easier for you to enjoy them.

This video clip is from Hero (2002), a Chinese wuxia film directed by Zhang Yimou. This movie got very good recognition to western audience, who were mostly astonished by its poetic scenic photographic throughout the entire movie.

This part, as shown in the clip, featured two colors: yellow and red. The red is what the actresses wear; the yellow is what I will introduce to you today: Huyang Forest.

One of the most popular places of interest in the United States is Colorado Grand Canyon. Besides its unique landscape, it is also known as the longest (446km) canyon in the world until 1994. In 1994, a team of geologists confirmed that the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon on the Yarlung Zangbo River is the longest and deepest canyon in the world.

This year from 10.31 to 11.08, a few weeks ago, 12th CWICF had just successfully taken place with 32 programmes by 200+ performers from 22 countries. I think all the programmes are amazing and deserve a prize, but only three of them are awarded the Gold Lion Prize. One is “圣斗-地圈” (means “Saint Seiya – Ground Hoops”) by China National Acrobatic Troupe, the other two are both performed by North Korea National Acrobatic Troupe (Yes, North Korea).
