Chris presents How to Feel Your Chi Energy in Just Ten Minutes posted at Martial Development, saying, “Chi (qi) is an ancient Chinese term, which can be translated as energy. Like energy, the word chi is used in both abstract and concrete terms, and applied to both general concepts and specific phenomena. In other words, chi is ambiguous.”

Barbara Williams presents 25 Surprising Facts About China’s Education System posted at Teaching Tips, saying, “If you think the administrators, school districts and government is cramping your teaching style, have you thought about what educators put up with in other countries? All school systems have a different dynamic, but China’s education system is especially unique. From preschool curriculum to vocational school to a new trend in adult education, here are 25 surprising facts about China’s education system.”

History

Zhu presents Qianmen posted at Correr Es Mi Destino, saying, “Qiánmén (前门, “the front gate“), stands at the south end of Tiananmen Square. It was formerly the front gate of the Imperial City and it symbolized Beijing’s grandeur. Not surprisingly, Qiánmén is one of the most central district of Beijing. No matter what you look for, you will find it there, either in one of the busy hútòng or on Qiánmén street itself: Beijing Duck at Quanjude, shoes at Neiliansheng, silk at Ruifuxiang… these century-old establishments were purveyors to the Imperial Court and still exist today. You are in the heart of the historical Beijing.”
